  • Kande Hiunchuli Expedition 1989

A group of friends joined me in 1989 for our second attempt on the mountain. This time we reached half way up the main ridge at over 6,000 metres. I decided the state of the ridge was unstable and dangerous and that we didn’t;t have enough rose to secure it. Also the weather was closing in. Three team members spent a night in the ridge before descending.
