This series of portraits is of people (and one animal) who live in the neighbourhood of the artist’s studio in Holloway, London. They are in effect secular icons.
The images are intended to be exhibited together, lit by low light. They are all in the same format – oil on canvas, 51 x 41cm – with acrylic gold backgrounds.
